Computer I'm looking at?
So i'm looking at computers, and i saw the Qosmio X505-Q880. It's a gaming computer and such
its stats are
Intel® Core™ i7-720QM Processor
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium
6GB DDR3 memory
500GB hard drive (7200rpm)
64GB solid state drive
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 360M discrete graphics (1GB DDR5)
Blu-ray Disc™ and DVD SuperMulti with Labelflash®
Bluetooth®
802.11n wireless
Integrated webcam
Fusion™ Finish in Omega Black
But on the site i was going to buy it at (not toshiba cause it takes them 8-9weeks to send) it says its 1.6ghz.. and i heard that's slow.. so should i even be looking at this computer if i want it for games?
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but this computer also runs normal computer-things like internet and applications? thanks
That is actually an extremely good computer. The processor is anything BUT slow, it is a quadcore clocked at 1.6 which is not slow since it has 4 cores. This model has a boost up to 2.8ghz which is pretty darn quick.
The Ram you have 6gb which is almost an overkill.
You have 2 hard drives apparently, 7200rpm which is the fastest behind the latest Solid State
The video card is pretty hefty too, will play games no problem
And to top it off BluRay player and a nice wireless card.
Have fun, in my opinion though unless you are an extremist when it comes to computers and you play graphic intense games la la la etc, this is pretty much an overkill for a PC. The specs are good but go for a somewhat smaller processor that thing will eat your battery away like theres no tomorrow. Same goes for the 2 hard drives, no need for it. The 500 7200rpm will do you just fine,
