Are a 9500 GT and a 610i motherboard compatable?

Well I bought a EVGA GeForce 9500GT for my system. And I'm having issues with it. So I installed the video card and motherboard drivers from nVidia's website, and my system was working great for an hour and a half. Then I left the game my computer was running on to get a snack. When I get back my system restarted itself. Then, it says "Insert boot device and press a key when done". So I hit the restart button on the case and open BIOS. BIOS tells me that I have no hard drive! So after many restarts and tries, I removed the video card. My system is now running ok.

So is the 9500 GT just not compatable with my system, or what?

To my knowledge, they're compatible.

The issue could very well be those new mobo drivers that were installed; I've had similar issues where new drivers/hardware conflicted with the system and a HDD was dropped.

Not sure what your BIOS contains, but if there is an option to restore your original mobo settings, try that.
