Suggestion for my New Videocard....?

--BASIC SPECS--

Intel Core 2 duo 2.13ghz
2gb ram

---------------------------------------

Ok so I just bough a new Nvidia Geforce 9800GT 512mb video card and I had a Nvidia Geforce 7600GS before...

So I was wondering should I use Benchmarks to see how my old videocard performs before installing my new videocard or should I just forget about it and ditch my old videocard and just install my new one without running Benchmarks...

And how power difference is there in these two videocards? 2x,3x, or may 4x? I was just wondering....thanks in advance..
And to clear things up and more detail I was able to run Dead Space on the following settings which resulted in 30-38 frame rate per seconds and 20-24 fps in graphic intensive areas

-800x600 res
-Every graphic detail on high except to shadow which is set on medium
-AA and AF is disabled
With that aside what settings do you think I can run this

Just ditch your old card it is useless!!!
You won't see a full difference because when the fps goes over 22.3 it will look the same. But it is about 3x more powerful
