Windows 7 not showing proper amount of video ram?
Hi. I have 4603MB of total available graphics memory, 1792mb of dedicated memory, 0mb of System video memory and 2811mb of shared system memory. But when I run dxdiag it says i have 468mb of video ram....im like wtf????!!!?!?!?!I am using windows 7 64-bit with PALIT NVIDIA geFORCE GTX260 SONIC 216SP PCIEX 1792 DDR3. I am not very good at computers and they are very confusing for me. I would really like to know what my real video ram is because i am meant to be using 1792mb of video ram!!! All my NVIDIA drivers are up to date. Thanks in advance.
P.S i also have a 32 inch TV which i am using as my monitor. Maybe it's taking up too much texture thus making te video ram less???
I have Direct X 11
Its got nothing to do with monitor. Its some problem with DXDIAG of Windows 7. I have a 256MB memory, but Dxdiag in Windows 7 shows 64MB, In Vista it shows 128MB, in XP it shows 256MB.
But there is nothing to worry about.
Bad purchasing decision of getting the old GTX 260.
